The Law Society has prepared a draft response to the LETR discussion paper of January 2012 entitled "Gathering views on the LETR - Engagement Document" which sets out the issues discussed by LETR and the The Law Society's provisional view on it. The Society wants to consult Solicitors on this response. You can email your answers to the questions in the paper to The Law Society. Alternatively, send your responses by 24 May to Geoffrey Crute, who is attending a local consultation event on your behalf

Call for Expertise
Teesside University will be launching its Student Law Clinic in September 2012 and wants local law firms and solicitors to be involved. If you have experience of interviewing clients, providing advice, drafting statements, or would like to assist in the clinic on a Pro-Bono basis then the University would like to hear from you. Your skills as a practitioner could assist the potential lawyers of the future to develop their careers in Law. If you are interested, please contact Andrew Perrimen on 01642 384048.
