Solicitors Assistance Scheme

The Scheme provides solicitors and their staff with independent and confidential advice and assistance regarding professional, business or personal problems. Scheme Members agree to give up to one hour's free advice, (usually by telephone). Thereafter, further work may be carried out on a fee paying basis in the usual way.

Threre is a vacancy for a member in the North East, as currently there only one member who is standing down at the end of 2010.

Locum Solicitor. Qualified as a Solicitor in February 2004. Have current full Practicing Certificate. Post qualification experience mostly in private client practice and insurance litigation. Experienced in Litigation, Crime, Family, Matrimonial, Employment, Company, Commercial and Residential Conveyancing. Qualified with higher rights of audience in all proceedings in January 2006. Qualified as an Accredited Mediator through the ADR Group in 2010. Commenced LL.M in March 2007 at Northumbria University reading Medical Law. Thesis, completed August 2010, was in the field of the GMC’s Fitness to Practise (Regulatory Healthcare).
